The deal to sell Volvo to the Chinese car maker Geely has been closed. Ford says that “some work still remains to be completed before signing” both parties anticipate that the agreement will be signed during the first quarter of 2010 with the actual sale taking place in the second quarter.
Ford will not be retaining any shares in Volvo although there may be some joint work done once the sale is completed.
