It’s no secret that Toyota has been having a several of problems with vehicles manufactured in the United States. A sticking accelerator has been the cause of a massive recall of Corolla, RAV4, Camry (not the hybrid version) and Avalon models while a severe rust problem in the chassis of several models that are built only for the US market have seen more vehicles recalled.
Now Toyota has taken the next step and suspended production of those vehicles at five different plants in North America until the problems have been solved. Toyota has also withdrawn vehicles that may be affected by these problems from sale.
