Chrysler is set to recall up to 600,000 vehicles across five different models as a range of problems begin to arise in vehicles built as far back as 2007.
The problems range from leaking brake fluid right through to doors that could burst into flames and sticky accelerator pedals.
25,336 Dodge Caliber and Jeep Compass vehicles built during 2007 are being recalled for the accelerator pedal problem.
Up to 288,968 Jeep Wranglers could be leaking brake fluid and around 284,831 Chrysler Town and Country minivans and Dodge Grand Caravans built during 2008 and 2009 could have a faulty latch on the sliding door that could ultimately cause a fire in the door.
While few if any of the vans have made it to Australia the other vehicles in these recalls have certainly been on the market here.
