It wasn’t until 2001 that Hyundai began selling it’s range of cars in Japan and after just eight years the company has had enough and is leaving.
The Japanese have never been big fanboys of the Koreans and the feeling has been mutual so perhaps the lack of sales for Hyundai in Japan has more to do with attitudes and tradition than the product.
