And You Thought Our Traffic, Bike Riders and Pedestrians Are Bad?

The year is 1905 or 1906 and we’re going for a ride on a cable car in San Francisco.

You’ll note that back then American cars were driven on the right-hand side and people who wanted to catch a tram or cable car stood in the middle of the road. There were horses, bike riders, pedestrians and what appears to be almost total chaos.

It’s about seven minutes long and after watching it I’m glad I wasn’t a tram or cable car driver back in those days.
