The United States National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has directed Hyundai to recall 139,500 current model Hyundai Sonatas built in the United States between December 11 2009 and September 10 2010 to rectify a problem with the steering.
The current model Hyundai Sonata is sold in Australia as the Hyunda i45 but our version is built in Korea and it’s unlikely that the same problem will be found in our version.
